Cutest (Indoor like) Outdoor Dining

The Waverly Inn is a pretty iconic and classy West Village eatery. It has a super cozy vibe, especially in winter when the fireplace is burning and the candles are all lit. During all the restrictions with Covid and dining outdoor through the freezing winter temps, this spot had an amazing setup in the semi-covered courtyard.

The Drinks

This is a place you can sit and drink all afternoon, which we sort of did? I think we spent about 3 or 4 hours at the table ordering different cocktails and delicious glasses of wine. There are so many options to choose from!

I went with a refreshing Aperol spritz!

The Food

Now I can’t pretend like I tried much food here, we mostly went for drinks before another dinner we had scheduled that evening! But we split some fries and blistered shishito peppers to snack on while we sipped our drinks - and both hit the spot!

Trump was quoted calling Waverly Inn “the worst food in the New York City” and so the restaurant proudly displays that on the front of their menu.

I think after trying it for yourself, you’ll realize that’s far from the truth! Delicious entree options include braised short rib, crab cakes, cast iron sirloin, Berkshire pork chop and so much more,

The Vibe

I love the cozy decor and environment at the Waverly Inn, and I particularly enjoy the quirky elements you may not notice at first glance. It’s sort of eclectic with its random artwork, lopsided chandeliers, and a pair of cast iron black cats in the fireplace.

Whatever the reason or the season, The Waverly Inn is a place you can count on for a good dining experience!
