Best Bachelorette Party Itinerary in Scottsdale, Arizona

IMG_1133.jpeg

Welcome to Scottsdale!

There are so many great Bachelorette destinations out there, both domestic and international! But I have to say, Scottsdale was definitely one of my favorites.

Back in May all of my college friends and I set out to Arizona to celebrate our beautiful bride, Nicole! It was such a great weekend all together, especially as things were finally beginning to return to normal after the pandemic. And since Nicole had to unfortunately push out her September 2020 wedding to this July, we’ve all been so excited to finally celebrate her as she deserves!

Scottsdale is a popular bachelor and bachelorette destination because it’s warm year round and packed with things to do. It’s great for brides who want to have a fun bachelorette without going alllll the way to say, Las Vegas. Where all you will do is party.

When planning a bachelorette trip the important thing to remember is that these days, there are no more expectations of “what a bachelorette party should be.” It’s whatever you want to make it! Some girls want to keep it small, casual and relaxing. Others want to go all out for their last hurrah before marriage and children! Whichever your speed, when it’s your time you can pick how you want to celebrate! And for your friends, the only advice I can give is to just go along for the ride. As someone who loves to plan and efficiently utilize my time on trips to do the most, I enjoy being able to help plan my friends big weekends. But when the weekends fully planned for me, it’s honestly even better!

I personally think bachelorettes are so fun, and a vacation with my best girlfriends is always an experience I’m excited for. Especially when you can see how loved and happy the bride feels! It’s a great way to get pumped up for the wedding day.

I know I’m already looking forward to mine next Spring, and this amazing weekend in Scottsdale only made me more excited for those plans.

If you’re considering Scottsdale for your own bachelorette party, or are planning a friends, then continue reading for all the details on my amazing weekend here!

Best Long Weekend Itinerary

If you’re looking for a quick list - here is a fantastic itinerary that I enjoyed, totally prepared by my friend’s amazing Maid of Honor! As someone who has been on a few bachelorette parties now, I can attest to what a great lineup there was. And there was a nice blend of fun activities, partying, celebrations, adventure, and time to rest when needed.

Day 1: Arrive in Scottsdale!

  • Pool Day!

  • Cocktail Kick Off for Happy Hour

  • Fine Dining with Private Chef

  • Out on Whiskey Row

Day 2: Desert Jeep Adventure Tour

  • Walk around Scottsdale

  • Lunch from Diego Pops

  • Party bus transfer to Off Road Jeep Adventure tour through the desert!

  • Fun night out in Old Town

Day 3: Pool Party!

  • Home cooked breakfast!

  • Hang by the pool

  • Pool Party at Maya Beach Club!

  • Dinner at SumoMaya, and out in town for the last night!

Day 4: Head home & REST (It will be necessary)

Ultimately you will need some recovery time (like you may not be well for a week) if you do what we did and go out every night. I stayed out until 3am multiple nights which I thought was physically impossible for me. But there is just something about Scottsdale that brings the fun out of you!

Where to Stay

For our trip we stayed in a gorgeous villa with a pool near Old Town! This Scottsdale Airbnb was a cute 5 bedroom home with a nice backyard! It sleeps 24, and had a bunk room that felt like summer camp with my friends! That big room also had a large bathroom and two massive closets so all 10 of the girls were able to get ready together.

It’s a perfect house for a bachelorette.

Party Decorations

A big part of bachelorettes is not only what you do, but how you do it! Surprising the bride with thoughtful (and often hysterical) decorations are a reminder that this is not only a vacation but your one and only bach! And as fun as the penis paraphernalia is, there are so many different ways to decorate!

Throw a creative theme together! Think tropical luau parties, country cowgirls, disco divas, beach party theme - the list goes on! For inspiration, I’ll share some of the great theme parties of this trip to Scottsdale!

One day we did a fiesta and ordered delicious Mexican food from a local spot called Diego Pops.

Another morning the bridesmaids hosted a bride brunch, with a great homemade breakfast.

When we did the jeep adventure tour we dressed in shirts that said Scottsdale Tribe, and then also a neon swimsuit theme for the pool day!

All were fun and relatively easy to throw together. Etsy will be your best friend. If you need any more ideas, look no further:

Remember, its all about making it memorable! A fun theme and good decorations give everyone a reason to giggle and props to have fun with.

The bride will never forget!

Where to Dine

Bachelorette parties can definitely range as far as far as the level of excitement. Let’s say that the far left is super chill - think relaxing on the beach, spa days, cooking at the house. The far right is a crazy wild bachelorette - pool parties, and club nights with bottle service.

Depending on the vibe and the number of girls these group dinners could be a fun event or too difficult plan.

For this reason since we had a pretty packed schedule in Scottsdale we decided to mostly dine at home, and did one big group dinner at Sumomaya a Mexican/Asian restaurant. Very good vibes for dinner, great drinks menu, and easily shareable plates!

Other Great Food & Dining in Scottsdale

Here are some more top restaurants to check out in the area:

At Home Private Chef

Our fearless leader (aka the MOH, Danielle) thought of everything. She planned a dinner at the house with a private chef, which was so nice! The company was called Privato Chef.

We started with cocktails for happy hour, then had an amazing cheese and charcuterie board, followed by a beautifully plated dinner. Steak, vegetables, all the works!

Desert Jeep Adventure Tours

This was a really fun and unique activity. It was nice to do something in Scottsdale outside of the parties that remind you that you’re 4 hours away from home in the middle of a desert.

The company we used was called Off Road Jeep Tours, based in Scottsdale. The tour takes you around the Sonoran desert stopping to see beautiful views of Camp Creek wash, and lasts about 2-3 hours.

Since we had no cars, we took a party bus to the pick up location and listened to music and enjoyed some drinks on the way. We also packed up our coolers of drinks to bring on the tour.

The tour we booked was for sunset, so we loaded up the jeep and took a bumpy ride out until we reached a gorgeous vista. There we were able to stop and take pictures, and sip some hard seltzers as the sun went down. Then we drove back to the busses!

Pool Party at Maya Day Club

One popular activity in Scottsdale is to attend the Saturday pool party at Maya Day Club. This trendy bar and pool club has tons of outdoor space, cabanas, and tables that can be rented if you arrange bottle service.

The whole place is filled with bachelor and bachelorette parties on the weekends! The music is loud and fun, so you are bound to have a great time. And if you need a break you can always order some chicken fingers!

For those wondering, no we did not have a professional photographer come to the day club… she came to the house before! Duh

Honestly this idea was adorable and she captured so many great memories.

Going Out in Old Town

There is a central set of bars in Old Town called Whiskey Row. It’s the perfect place to go out even if you don’t have set plans. One spot that we visited not once but twice was Dierks Bentley at Whiskey Row - we were huge fans.

Maybe it was the music, or the crowd, or the mist machines. The vibes were pretty good! Or maybe it was because it was the first time I had been out in a bar environment without a mask since the start of Covid. Pretty surreal! I was having so much fun that I regressed into a teen and I left my wallet on the bar there, like the old college days. Good times!

We didn’t take many pictures out at the bars, just embarrassing videos, but here are some memz of my adorable girlfriends before we tore up the town!!

So if all else fails…. Scottsdale Before the Veil!

You will have an amazing time if you follow this itinerary! You also may be extremely exhausted, so prepare with hydration and clear your calendar the evening you get home so you can REST!

If you plan it out similarly to what we did, you are bound to have a blast.

Enjoy it!

Xx Gab
